Book Credit & Buying
Fine used books bought & sold
We purchase nonfiction and collectible books for very fair prices on a case-by-case basis.
How book credit works
Book credit can be used towards 1/2 of your bill.
Bring your fiction paperbacks
Bring your fiction paperback books that are in very good condition to the store, and we will give you 20% of the original retail price towards credit. Hardback credit will be determined on a case-by-case basis. If you don't want credit, I can purchase your fiction paperbacks as long as they are current and in very good shape. Call or bring them by and I will be happy to look at them.
Nonfiction and collectibles
We purchase nonfiction and collectible books for very fair prices on a case-by-case basis.
Using your credit
Book credit can be used towards 1/2 of your bill. For instance, if your bill is $20, then you can use $10 in credit and the other $10 must be a form of payment. You can use your credit for used fiction only. Credits cannot be used for new books, collections, collectibles, and nonfiction.
The 1/2 rule, worked
If your bill is…
$20
You can use your credit for used fiction only. Credits cannot be used for new books, collections, collectibles, and nonfiction.

Friends of the Library
First shot at all the good stuff
He partners with the Friends of the Library volunteer groups for North Myrtle Beach, Conway, Carolina Forest, Little River and buys the $1 books, sells them at the price they are worth and provides the Friends volunteers with 40%.
“They'll get books [donated] worth hundreds of dollars a piece and they don't know. It's all for a buck. I've found books on the shelves out here worth thousands of dollars and they have no idea.”

“It's been a busy summer and the shelves were looking skimpy but I'm filling them up again, and quickly!” — Facebook, August 14, 2026
Just picked up
So fun! Just picked up a huge collection

So fun! Just picked up a huge collection of rare Archie collectible comics. This collection has comics that go back to when Archie was first introduced in 1941! Most are oversized hardbacks and in excellent shape. Open every day!

Just picked up a leather-bound, sleeved and illustrated copy of King Kong! Numbered and signed by artist Bob Eggleton. The illustrations are absolutely georgous and only 1200 copies were printed!

Winston Churchill's 6 volume set of "The Second World War." 1983 Chartwell Edition in great shape looking for a good home!
